Three Little Pigs- NEW UNIT!

Obviously, since I am a teacher I LOVE to read to my daughter and have a million children's books.  One of our current favorites to read is The Three Little Pigs by James Marshall.  There are so many different versions, but this has always been my go to when reading to my kinder kiddos.

I created a sweet little unit that can be used both in the classroom and home school setting.

Here is a little preview of what's included. It's 30 pages long (so this isn't all of it).  Be sure to click the picture above to check it out in my tpt store.

I think this cute little pig would make an adorable bulletin board display.. just saying.

There is a pig and wolf character Analysis (bubble maps). I always LOVED using these with my kinder kids because it helped them write sentences easier and eventually a paragraph.

This unit touches on soooo many standards!!!! Characters, Setting, Re-telling, etc...

I usually try to do this unit during P week. So, as you can see.. I included a few letter P activities.

There are also 5 Math Journal Prompts. If you have been following me for any length of time, you know I love Math & Science Journals!!!

A Fun re-telling craft activity!

I used hay, toothpicks and sandpaper. This activity would be a great way to review at the end of the week.  They can also practice re-telling the story by using the characters.

And last but not least--- you know I had to include a Science experiment or two. This one is my fav! Take your blow dryer to school and see if the wind will blow some ordinary classroom objects. The kids will LOVE it!!!

I've added in some of my favorite books to use during the lesson and a video you can play in your classroom.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all enjoy your Fall Break (for those of you in Rutherford County) and beautiful Fall weather.

God Bless!

Breakfast & Bible Journaling

I recently started a Miracle Morning Routine. It helps me focus on my goals and gives me some ME time! I think this is important no matter what career you have in life. Being a mom requires A LOT of patience. That alone (without throwing career, finances, marriage, etc.. into the mix) can be a struggle. If you do not give yourself some time alone daily it is hard to deal with it all sometimes. I have noticed when I wake up earlier and have time for breakfast and bible journaling I am a better wife, mom, leader, team member, pampered chef director, christian and just an all around better person. I'm not saying I am perfect and do it every day.. but I crave this time.

I just wanted to drop in and share some of my favorites that I've done so far.

If you would like some samples that I created for you to simply trace and color in your Bible-- click the picture below and enjoy some time in the word!!!

Target Dollar Spot Finds for your Classroom!

I know I'm not the only one who is obsessed with shopping at Target. I try to avoid the place all together... Why you might ask??? Well, let me give you a run down of what generally happens upon entering Target.

Pull into parking lot.

In my head: "ok--- don't spend over $30.  Well, ok maybe $50... that should be enough."

Walk into Target.

Me: I should probably get a cart just in case.
Me: All I need is a picture frame and some bandaids.
Me: I can do this. Only 2 items.....

Put Sara in the cart and begin pushing.

Me: Ohhhhh--- look at all the cute stuff in the Target Dollar Spot.

$372 later.....

Walking out of Target....
Me: What just happened?????

I think we have all entered the Target Vortex a time or two. Some of us more than others.... But, I have to admit I was incredibly excited to see so many adorable "back to school" items.

Check out my stash!

I was super excited about finding these stickers because her teachers asked for some on their wish list! Score!!!

These would make perfect Carpet Bags- check out Kim Adsit's post on them. And really, who doesn't love Dr. Suess?!?! They also had some cute notepads and stamps.

I was REALLY excited about these. My sweet girl is constantly challenging me and I am amazed at what she already knows... So, I decided to grab a few of these and keep them on hand for when I need to make a coaching call or wait on getting new tires.. blah!

She was super excited to try one of them out! I even let her pick a reward sticker to put on the page after "Self-checking" it.

Final thing I threw in my buggy were these adorable ABC cards and matching games. We have just recently started playing Memory and you can never have too many alphabet cards!

Did you all find anything at your Target for Back to School???

I love you to pieces! #valentinescraft

It has been snowy and cold here in TN the past few days.  So, we decided to take advantage of this time at home and make some Valentines for our family.

Here is a simple card you can make with your kiddos at home or school.  All you need are some cards (I have a box of blanks colorful cards from Target but you can just use construction paper or anything really), glue, scissors, marker, heart to trace or draw your own, and paper to cut into pieces.

Step 1: Add the words and draw the outline of the heart.

Step 2: Add Glue.
Is that really my sweet 3 year old using Elmer's glue?!?!?!

Step 3: Add all the colorful pieces of paper!
This part was so much fun.

Step 4: Give your beautiful cards to family and friends. We made 8 to pass out and this was one of them! So much fun and so easy!! It kept my sweet girl busy and practicing fine motor skills. Score!

I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day and get to spend it with the ones you love!

Happy Thanksgiving Coloring Sheet- FREE!

I made myself a promise that I wouldn't do much Pampered Chef work over the next couple of days, so I decided we would have a morning of painting, Play-doh and cleaning (we are hosting Thanksgiving this year).  So, I made this simple little page for Sara to paint and give to family members.  She LOVES to paint!!! Feel free to snag it.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!
